The Last Tudor Cover Reveal

16th May 2017

I am delighted to share with you the covers for my next novel The Last Tudor. It's a title that has many meanings. As you may have heard, this will be my last Tudor novel (for I am about to start another historical series). And, when Edward VI died without a male heir it left the Tudor line of succession in disarray – the resulting scramble to the throne meant many cousins felt they could have been The Last Tudor.

It is the story of Lady Jane Grey – the infamous Nine-Day Queen – and her sisters Katherine and Mary.

Jane’s name was never far away from the throne. Her mother, Frances Brandon, was the daughter of Henry VIII’s younger sister Mary, and Henry’s best friend Charles Brandon. Jane was named by Edward VI as his successor when he amended his ‘Devise for the Succession’ to include Jane herself – not just her male heirs which he had in his original draft. Edward’s Devise excluded both Mary and Elizabeth despite that fact that his father’s Will had included them both.

This started a new battle for the throne and put the three Grey sisters in great danger. I hope you like their story, it has been an absolute pleasure to write.

The Last Tudor will be released on 8th August. You can pre-order the book here:
