The Taming of the Queen Cover Reveal

3rd June 2015

I can now reveal the covers for The Taming of the Queen, which will be released in August by Simon & Schuster – the red one is for the UKAustralia and New Zealand, and the one with the paper is for the US and Canada. Which cover do you like best? They're some of my favourites out of all the jackets my books have ever had – I love the inclusion of the portrait, which features significantly in the book. Yes, that is Jane Seymour rather than the heroine Kateryn Parr – it was painted during Kateryn's marriage to Henry but showed Jane, as the mother of the heir, Prince Edward. What Kateryn thought of being omitted from a significant family portrait in favour of one of her husband's four dead wives, history does not relate. Her career as queen was a delicate balancing act, overshadowed by the successes and failures of her five predecessors, at risk of following their fate.
