I cant find her! Last year I had someone call me up from Westminister Abbey, in the hope that she was there (as her children are both buried there) he told me, that the book they use, to locate these graves, is silent on the subject of Mary. My search hit a dead end, but I'm still curious, any ideas anybody? I find it very hard to believe that Henry and Catherine Carey, and William Stafford, wouldnt have had her buried somewhere decent.

There is a graves website on the board here somewhere.
I'll find the link for it.

http://www.findagrave.com/

Although Mary doesn't seem to be on there.

I have searched trying to locate her final resting place. Can't seem to find any info on the internet. Would love to know why she would not be with or near her children and husband. Perhaps, she's with her mother and father....but I do not think so. I believe Mary's mother and father are buried at a chapel at Hever Castle.

I have searched EVERYWHERE, even the local churches and cathedrals in the Rochford, and wider area. She just seemed to have vanished. I have absolutely exhausted every avenue I can think of. I spoke to somebody from Westminister Abbey and he didnt have the foggiest. Apparently, there is a book they refer to, for burials, and Mary Boleyns grave is not listed.

I think she could've been buried quietly somewhere, since she chose to distance herself from court after what happened to Anne (though not too much, since Catherine Carey was sent to court!), but it does seem strange that nobody has found her grave and spoken up (unless of course it's some village church with no historical fiction fans in the vicinity) - she would've died as Mary Stafford so maybe people wouldn't make the connection, but I find it very odd considering that, according to Wikipedia, she was known to have liked in retirement in Rochford, Essex and died on July 19th 1543 - though Wikipedia says she died at 44, which makes me suspicious because her date of birth was unknown and said to be between 1499 and 1508, but that could simply be explained as Wikipedia using the 1499 DOB as standard, as they do explain that her DOB is unknown. Having an exact death date would suggest that her death was well-documented, in which case why isn't her burial? Quite a mystery!

On Google it says:

Mary BOLEYN. Born: ABT 1500 / 1504 / BEF 1515. Died: 19/30 Jul 1543 ... Buried: St. Peter ad Vincula, Tower of London, London, Middlesex, England ...

but when I clicked on the link here it didn't say anything about where she is buried Confused
